The Barn Owl Bill Charitable Trust, although a registered charity, receives no government funding and is almost entirely reliant on donations from members of the public. As we are a grass roots charity, all of the staff at the trust are volunteers, meaning that we don’t employ professional fundraisers. This ensures that all of the money raised goes directly to the running of the sanctuary and care of our resident birds and any rescues. However, this also means that, without the generosity of ordinary people, we would be unable to continue our education, rescue and rehabilitation work.
Donating is just one easy way to help the The Barn Owl Bill Charitable Trust, but you can support us in all sorts of ways, and they don’t necessarily involve making a cash donation.
Attend one of our fundraising displays
Our primary method of raising funds is to carry out fundraising displays. We regularly attend a number of public events across the northwest with our experienced display team of volunteers and birds. So why not come and meet the team in person and find out, first hand, what we do (check the calendar for the date of our next display). Alternatively, if you think you know somebody who may be interested in booking one of our displays, please check out the display information.
Send a gift by post
If you would like to send a donation, we‘d be thrilled and grateful to receive your donation as a cheque in the post. Cheques should be made payable to the The Barn Owl Bill Trust and sent to:

Challenge yourself in aid of the Barn Owl Bill Charitable Trust
By taking part in or organising a fundraising event, you will be helping to raise much-needed funds to help the Barn Owl Bill Charitable Trust keep helping birds of prey in need. We are completely reliant on public support – without you our work cannot continue.
Why not hold a coffee morning, challenge yourself with a sponsored silence or come up with your own unique fundraising idea.
Shop online and raise funds
This provides the Barn Owl Bill Charitable Trust with additional funds at no extra cost to yourself! Shopping online through the easyfundraising website is probably the easiest way to help raise money for the Barn Owl Bill Charitable Trust. If you already shop online with retailers such as Amazon, M&S, Argos, John Lewis, Comet, Vodafone, eBay, Boden and Play.com then you could help raise much needed funds for the Trust in the process.
If you choose to help us raise much-needed money through easyfundraising.org.uk, you still shop directly with the retailer as you would normally, but if you sign up to http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/barnowlbill for free and use the links on the easyfundraising site to take you to the retailer, then a percentage of whatever you spend comes directly to us at no extra cost to yourself.
However you help, whatever you give – it will go towards helping birds of prey in need.
